Principal’s Message

Dear parents, families and whanau,

Kia ora koutau katoa,

Term 2 has continued to be a very productive term with all our learners working well on their learning goals.

We all look forward to our fire station visit on Friday as part of our Firewise learning. Thanks to the parents who have offered to take transport. We leave at about 8.45am and will be back to school by 11am.

Winter Weather

The weather is feeling a lot colder now and we encourage you to ensure your child is dressed appropriately in warm clothing please. Also, if your child is suffering cold or flu like symptoms please keep them at home to prevent spread of infection to others. We really appreciate support with this. Thanks to those parents who have already been doing this.

The 3R’s Cup Winner

Week 4 – William Hughes

Congratulations to William, our cup holder for Week 4 who has displayed  Respect, Responsibility and Resilience. Thank you for displaying our 3 values.

Classroom Awards to Date

Week 4: Rm 1 – Chase Hooker, Rm 2 – Jack Henry

Super effort by all of you and keep up the great work!

Lions Club Donation

We would like to thank the Morrinsville Pakeke Lions Club, Morrinsville Pakeke and Tahuna & Districts for their kind donation of $1,000 that will go towards educational resources for our school. The funds are derived from the collection and sale of casualty calves. These calves were generously donated by farmers in the areas during calving season.

Morrinsville Market Day

This Saturday our school is running the BBQ at the local Morrinsville Market. Thank you to those families who are helping out for the morning. If you are able to lend a hand, please contact Phillip. Tell your friends and families to come along and support us!

New Enrolments

With the farming season changeover, you may know of families who are moving into the district, or know of a parent or parents who have a child turning five soon. Please let them know we have places available in both of our classrooms and please feel free to direct them to me for information about our school to help them make an informed decision.

Nga mihi
