Principal’s Message

Dear parents, families and whanau,

Kia ora kautou,

As we near the end of November it has been fantastic to see many learners have continued to display our 3 R’s. Keep up the great work!

Teachers are completing the end of year assessments and it has been pleasing to hear the progress made by our learners.

Hopefully the weather continues to be nice and warm for our learners to use the school pool. I am so happy that our learners and community can have access to the pool before Christmas.

Rural School Athletics day

Our school recently attended the annual Rural Schools’ Athletics day at Tauhei School. All our learners took part and it was positive to see. Also great to see the parent and family support. Check out the action of our learners!

Interschool Athletics

We took along a senior team to the annual Interschool Athletics at Morrinsville College. The day was very competitive and I was proud to see our learners giving it their all. We were represented by William Hughes, Chase Hooker, Liam Sutton-Dewhurst and Savannah Hooker.

Chase Hooker (10 year old boys) – cricket throw 1st, long jump 4th, high jump 4th

Congratulations to all our learners who placed in these events!

Our next assembly is Friday the 6th December. We really appreciate the support shown for our learners at assemblies.

All children have been issued a bucket hat to wear during our summer terms when outside. Also, please consider clothing that covers your child’s shoulders. We would greatly appreciate if you could apply sunblock to your child or children before sending them to school. We have a supply at school for them to re-apply later in the day and after swimming. It’s wonderful our learners have been enjoying some beautiful weather outside and we need to ensure they are protected while doing so.

School Pool Keys

We have pool keys available for the community to hire for the duration our pool is running. These are $50. You will need to sign a pool user declaration form and payment must be received in full before keys are issued. Please see the school office before the last week of school if you would like one for the season.

Please settle your accounts before the end of the school term. Thank you to those families who ensure their account is up to date.

New Enrolments

If you know of any parent or parents who have a child turning five soon or are thinking of making a change with where they send their child, please let them know we have places available in both of our classrooms. Please direct them to me for information about our school, to help them make an informed decision.
