Motumaoho School

Nau Mai Haere Mai

Tena koe/Greetings to you

Welcome to Motumaoho School—the small country school with the big heart.

We are a welcoming, inclusive, and nurturing school where we Strive for Excellence through our core values:

Respect | Whakaute, Responsibility | Manahau, Resilience | Kawenga, Service | Ratonga.

Established in 1912, our school has a rich history. In the past, learners arrived on horseback, milk wagons, or on foot. Today, all students arrive by car. Our strong community ties mean many families remain connected for generations.

Surrounded by beautiful oak and native trees—our "kaitiaki" (guardians)—our school is an ideal place for tamariki to explore and learn. A tributary of the Waitakaruru Stream runs along our rear boundary, reinforcing our deep connection to nature.

We are also an Enviro and Trees for Survival School. We value partnerships with whānau and our wider community.

At Motumaoho, we work together to ignite the passion for lifelong learning in every child.

Ngā mihi,

Tina Baptist Principal
