Dear Motumaoho School Community,
I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to inform you of an important development regarding our school leadership. After much consideration, Tina Baptist has made the decision to resign from their position as Principal, effective 4 May 2025 (End of week one Term two). We thank Tina for her dedication and hard work over the years and wish her all the best in her new position.
We understand that this news may come as a surprise, and we want to assure you that the Board of Trustees is committed to a smooth transition and to ensuring the ongoing success and wellbeing of our students and staff.
Next Steps:
- Interim Leadership: Today we have started the recruitment process to find an interim principal and hope to find someone quickly who will provide the leadership and stability our community needs during this time.
- Principal Recruitment: The Board will shortly begin the search for a new permanent principal. We will be conducting a thorough and transparent recruitment process, ensuring that we find a leader who aligns with our school’s values, vision, and goals. We will keep the community informed throughout this process and invite input from staff, students, and whānau when appropriate.
- Ongoing Communication: We recognise how important it is for you to stay informed. We will continue to update you regularly on our progress and any further developments. Please feel free to reach out to me or any Board member if you have questions or concerns.
We appreciate your support during this time of transition and look forward to working together to maintain the strong foundation our school has built.
Thank you for your understanding, and please join me in wishing Tina the best for the future, further information on a farewell assembly to come.
Ngā mihi nui,
Hayley Arnold
