Principal's Message
Whakatauki o te rua wiki - Phrase of the fortnight
Kia kaha, kia māia, kia manawaroa/Be strong, be brave, be kind
Kia ora e te whānau,
With this very busy term coming to an end, there is so much to celebrate and treasure. We had swimming through to week 7, the Footsteps Dance Company providing weekly dance lessons, music lessons by MusiqHub, a Super Smash cricket session, the Science Roadshow event at David Street, music appreciation sessions in Ruma Pīwakawaka, Run Ball ‘Basketball’, and a Duffy Role Model Assembly just to name a few. The staff has also been very busy with professional development, First Aid Training, etc. This week alone, we had the RSA visiting Ruma TūĪ to talk about the ANZACs and what it means to be a soldier, and then a Duffy Theatre Performance that is always a memorable occasion. We also celebrated our achievements during the Terrific Kids/Reading with Rotary presentations, and this coming Friday, it will be our Progress and Effort assembly at 1:45 pm in Ruma Tūī. Come and celebrate this very successful term with us.
