I am from Christchurch
I am Anney Collin
I recognise the ancestral and spiritual landmarks of Tanui
Thus, my acknowledgement to you all
Kia ora e te Whaanau,
It is a great privilege to be Interim Principal at Motumaoho School. I have enjoyed meeting some whaanau in the last few days and I look forward to meeting more of you as my time here continues. I will be with you until the end of Term 3 while the Board of Trustees recruits a new Principal.
For most of my life, I lived in and around Otautahi/Christchurch before moving with my husband to the Waikato ten years ago. I am the mother of four adult children and Granny to seven, so you can imagine that my life outside of school is just as busy as that within school.
I was the Special Education Needs Coordinator/Learning Support Coordinator at Whitiora School in central Hamilton until the end of April and started at Motumaoho School on 5 May. I have previously been Principal at Okains Bay School and Cholmondeley Children's Centre.
Please come in and introduce yourself to me so that we can learn a little more about each other, as together we support the learning of your children.
Ngaa Mihi
Whaea Anney
